This 6 nights 7 Days tour of Thrilling West Himachal starts from Mcleodganj. Mcleodganj, which is famously known as “Little Lhasa (Tibet) of India” and is situated in the outskirts of Dharamshala. It is a small and beautiful hill station with a blend of Tibetan and Indian culture situated at a height of 2082 mts (6831 feet). The place is nestled amidst the mighty hills of Dhauladhars and is a great weekend getaway for people living in Chandigarh,New Delhi, Gurgaon, Ambala and other neighbouring cities.
Bhagsu waterfall is a surreal waterfall located in the Bhagsu village near Mcleodganj. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The view from the top of the Kangra Valley is something which is not to be missed. The Dalai Lama Temple and Tibetan Museum will let you get an insight about the Tibetan people, their life, culture, philosophy and much more.
Kalatop trek lies amidst the Kalatop Khajjiar wildlife sanctuary, which lies in the Chamba district of the Himachal Pradesh. The trek takes you amidst dense deodar forests and fir trees away from Dalhousie. There are also pine and coniferous trees and Himalayan vistas surrounding which makes it a really scenic trek.
The next day can be spent in exploring Khajjiar, which is also known as the “Mini Switzerland of India”, which has vast green plateaus and streams and lakes with cattles grazing the field. This is one the most famous hill stations of India, because of serene and calm surroundings. The day can be spent exploring the vast green vistas of Khajjiar, taking small hikes around the area and much more.
Panchpula waterfall is a major tourist attraction in Dalhousie where the locals also gather as it is a famous picnic spot as well. After spending some time here, you can go for local shopping in famous markets of Dalhousie which has many quaint eating and hangout spots. Some of the famous local dishes to try here are momos and thukpa. You can even go for souvenir shopping here as well.
Chamba is a town in Himachal Pradesh situated near the banks of the river Ravi. This little town amidst the Himalayan mountain ranges has a lot to offer in terms of the history and culture of Himachal Pradesh. The famous Luxmi Narayan Temple was built in the 10th century and it is one of the largest and oldest temples in Chamba district. The most unique feature of this temple is that it has six beautifully carved stone shikaras. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Shiva. Another famous and locally revered temple is the Chamunda Devi temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Kali. The temple is situated on a hilltop which offers a stunning view of the Chamba Valley and the river Ravi. Bhuri Singh Museum was founded in 1908 and is dedicated to the ancient cultures and traditions of the Kingdom of Chamba. It has more than 8500 art objects and antique bits related to the archaeology and cultural anthropology of the place. Spend some serene and peaceful time at the local lakes in Chamba and take in every bit of the surroundings.
Meet at RK Ashram/ Majnu ka Tila and Overnight travel to Mcleod by AC Volvo bus.
Enjoy the morning tea and breakfast and be ready to explore the magnificent Mcleodganj. This day we will visit to Namgyal Monastery, The Dalai Lama Temple, Church of St. Johns in the wilderness, Tibetan Museum and Bhagsu Waterfall and then get back to the hotel by evening. Have your dinner & Overnight stay in Hotel.
After breakfast head towards Dharamshala. Explore Dharamshala Cricket stadium, Shopping & Cafe hopping after that head towards Dalhousie.
On arrival Check in hotel, enjoy your dinner in hotel and overnight stay in Dalhousie.
After having healthy breakfast and freshening up, we start our trek to Kalatop. Kalatop is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary with a lot of trails for trekkers to explore and discover. In evening, we return to the hotel for dinner and local market sightseeing, Overnight stay in Dalhousie.
After having your breakfast go for Khajjiar.
It is also known as Switzerland of India – the beautiful Khajjiar. This quaint hill station is surrounded by gorgeous lakes, pastures, and forests. One can enjoy just sitting in the grass, looking at the flowers and soaking in warm sunlight. After exploring the beauty of Khajjiar be back to Dalhousie. Have your dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
After having your breakfast in the morning explor this day one of the most loved tourist destination of himachal pradesh. Same day we will visit the famous Luxmi Narayan Temple (Ancient and Historical Temple) and the Chamunda Temple (famous for its ancient wooden carving), Bhuri Singh Museum, Chamba Millennium gate and lakes of chamba. In evening drop to Volvo bus stand and start overnight journey to Delhi.
Reach back to Delhi by morning.
