About this tour

There is a reason why Kerala is known as ‘God’s Own Country’. Kerala is probably the most serene and beautiful state. It has beautiful coastal landscapes, Arabian Sea and beaches, amazing backwaters which are quite unique and also spice and tea covered Western Ghats with many hill stations and exotic locations.

This 7 nights 8 days Kerala family Tour Package with Jatayu Earth Centre starts from the city of Cochin.

Munnar is also known as the ‘Kashmir of South India’. It is famous for its lush green forests, spectacular tea estates, blankets of mist & craggy peaks and exotic varieties of flora & fauna. It is also home to some of the endangered species of animals like Neelakurinji and Nilgiri Tahr. It is South India’s largest tea growing region, where you can see a thousand shades of green and also the clouds up above the mountaintops which takes you closer to being amazed and awestruck by it.

Thekkady is a town in Kerala which is famous for Periyar National Park, located near Kerala-Tamil Nadu Border. It is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns. The place is also famous for its spice and coffee plantations.

Alleppey or Alappuzha is the hub of Kerala’s backwaters and also the most famous one. The mere mention of the word “Backwaters” brings the name of Alleppey into the mind.It is also known as ‘Venice of the East’ as it has a grid of canals alongside a hustling and bustling population. Alleppey is altogether a different travel proposition with its water world and houseboats set alongside the calm coastline of its backwaters. Floating around, you will get to live in a different experience.

Kollam is an old sea port city located along the coast of Kerala. One of the oldest ports in the Arabian Sea, Kollam was once a major commercial hub that saw Roman, Arab, Chinese and later Portuguese, Dutch and British traders flock to lay their hands on the coveted spices. Its city centre and bazaar(market) are hectic, but surrounding them are the calm waterways of Ashtamudi Lake, with coconut palms, cashew plantations and traditional villages, making Kollam a great place to enjoy the backwaters.

Kovalam is located near the city of Trivandrum in Kerala. It is a village known for its crescent beach and palm trees surrounding it. Kovalam is a convenient and immensely popular place for fun by the sea; there are promising waves (and a surf club), as well as some charming guesthouses and a flourishing ayurveda and yoga scene to take you closer to a serene self.
