About this tour

This trip takes you to two of the finest South Indian states of India, namely Kerala and Karnataka.  Kerala is probably the most serene and beautiful state. It has beautiful coastal landscapes, Arabian Sea and beaches, amazing backwaters which are quite unique and also spice and tea covered Western Ghats with many hill stations and exotic locations. On the other hand, Karnataka is a state with a blend of modernity along with green national parks, ancient ruins, beaches and yoga which makes it an epic backpackers destination.

This 9 nights 10 days Sensational Kerala with Karnataka Tour starts from the city of Kannur.

Mysore is one of South India’s most remarkable and enchanting cities. The city is famous for its magnificent buildings, royal heritage and stunning old school architecture. Mysore is also deeply rich in tradition, with a bustling bazaar district filled with spice stores and incense stalls. Ashtanga yoga is another drawcard and there are several acclaimed schools that attract visitors from across the globe.

Wayanad is an Indian district in the north-east end of the state of Kerala which is one of the high altitude places located in the state, the altitude ranging from 700 to 2100mts. Wayanad is famous for its Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve which falls both into Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Its landscape is full of green landscapes, bamboo and betel plantations along with cardamom and coffee plantations. It is also famous as  a weekend getaway for both Indian and foreigners.

Ooty is also known as Queen of Hill. It offers mesmerising meadows, soothing environment, cool weather and a wide array of sightseeing places to admire. It can be a bit hectic, but it doesn’t take long to escape for travellers into quieter, greener areas where tall pines rise above what could almost be English country lanes in the midst of India.

Munnar is also known as the ‘Kashmir of South India’. It is famous for its lush green forests, spectacular tea estates, blankets of mist & craggy peaks and exotic varieties of flora & fauna. It is also home to some of the endangered species of animals like Neelakurinji and Nilgiri Tahr. It is South India’s largest tea growing region, where you can see a thousand shades of green and also the clouds up above the mountaintops which takes you closer to being amazed and awestruck by it.

Thekkady is a town in Kerala which is famous for Periyar National Park, located near Kerala-Tamil Nadu Border. It is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns. The place is also famous for its spice and coffee plantations.

Alleppey or Alappuzha is the hub of Kerala’s backwaters and also the most famous one. The mere mention of the word “Backwaters” brings the name of Alleppey into the mind.It is also known as ‘Venice of the East’ as it has a grid of canals alongside a hustling and bustling population. Alleppey is altogether a different travel proposition with its water world and houseboats set alongside the calm coastline of its backwaters. Floating around, you will get to live in a different experience.
